Night Creature

The dark visual series “Night Creature”, originally published as “Creature of the Night” in The Mob Journal (New York, 2020), was produced under the direction of photographer Frank Lübke for the German FX-teeth brand Alphabite, internationally known for handcrafted, high-precision special-effect teeth created for film, fashion, and performance.

At Alphabite, fantasy and craftsmanship meet. The brand describes its work as the creation of unique special-effect teeth where every piece tells its own story. Founded by master dental technician Susi, Alphabite focuses on producing high-quality FX designs for artists, performers, and creative pioneers who want to transform imagination into reality. Each product is individually crafted with the intention of creating something meaningful, memorable, and visually striking — combining technical precision with artistic vision.

The photo series was developed as a creative collaboration between photographer Frank Lübke, model and artist Mokka Spectrum, and special-effects makeup artists Birger Laube and Sabeth Kelwing Jimenez, resulting in a dark creature-inspired concept exploring transformation, identity, and the fascination with nocturnal characters.

The imagery blends fashion, character design, and cinematic FX makeup, forming a dramatic series of vampire and creature portraits that highlight the expressive possibilities of Alphabite’s handcrafted designs.
