Green Spirit Koh Tao
Green Spirit is an open-air bar, venue, and event space hidden in the jungle of Koh Tao, Thailand. Surrounded by nature, the location combines traditional Thai decoration with colorful, dim lighting that gives the place its unique and welcoming charm.
With a bonfire at the center and plenty of cozy chill areas — including bean bags, hammocks, and Thai floor mattresses — the space offers the perfect atmosphere to relax, slow down, and enjoy a real timeout in the middle of the jungle.
The venue is hosted daily by its eccentric and charming owner together with a friendly local team, creating a warm and relaxed environment where everyone feels welcome. Refreshing cocktails are served at the bar, and in the evenings guests can sometimes enjoy spontaneous snacks or traditional Thai BBQ.
Music is always part of the experience. Soft background sounds play during the day and on quiet evenings, while at other times live musicians, traveling artists, and DJs from around the world perform at the venue. Despite the tropical humidity, Green Spirit is equipped with a festival-level sound system, making it possible to host DJ nights, special events, and larger gatherings. During relaxed hours, the bar keeps the vibe going with a simple Bluetooth setup for background music.
From personal experience, Green Spirit is truly a hidden gem — a place that invites you to slow down, connect with people, and enjoy the moment in a unique jungle setting.
